The village of Cropwell Bishop has not only been my home for nearly 30years but has also a history for our family going back to the time when my Grandfather worked at Gypsum (Before it was BG and when it was a mine not a quarry), and my Great Grandfather worked the surrounding farmland.
Being a local boy from Radcliffe on Trent, I am very familiar with this area and have watched the development throughout my life within this section of the Trent Valley and the Vale of Belvoir, with interest.
Now I have more time, due to shortly retiring from the Interior Design & Building Industry, I am wanting to be more involved with local issues and support the village in whichever way I can.
My personal interests include golf, walking the dog, cycling and keeping my hand in with some DIY plus a little bit of car action.
